Built for builders. Wherever you build from.
Sigmaschool started in Malaysia. In every recent cohort, the majority of students join from outside it — Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Pakistan, the UK, the US, the Middle East. Same Programme. Same outcome. No relocation required.

Why international students join
What makes Sigmaschool work from outside Malaysia.
It's not a flag thing. It's a fit thing — the Programme structure, price, and AI-native focus make sense whether you're in KL, Jakarta, Lahore, or Lisbon.
True live online programme
Not a recorded course with a Discord. Real Mon–Fri live sessions, daily Buildroom, weekly mentor 1:1s. The cohort is the product.
A timezone that works for half the world
GMT+8 is friendly for Asia, the Middle East, AU, and Europe. For the Americas, full recordings + async mentor Q&A keep momentum without losing depth.
English-first, cohort-by-design
Every cohort is multilingual — English is the working language for everything. Code review, missions, mentor calls, peer pairing.
Globally accessible pricing
Stripe (USD, GBP, EUR) and international bank transfer. International students typically pay around US$3,800 for the full Programme — significantly under US/UK bootcamp pricing for an arguably stronger curriculum.
Remote-first hiring pathway
Career track is designed for global remote roles from day one. Many graduates now work remotely for Singapore, Australia, UK, and US employers.
A real community after
100+ alumni Discord, periodic in-person meetups across Southeast Asia, and warm intros into the Sigmaschool hiring network long after the cohort ends.
How it works practically
A typical week as an international student.
For most students in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia, the live-attendance experience is identical to local Malaysian students. The difference shows up for students in time zones >5 hours behind GMT+8 — typically the Americas. Here's the typical rhythm:
- Live core sessions — 1.5 hours per weekday, GMT+8 evening. Most international students join live; Americas students watch the recording within 12 hours.
- Daily Buildroom — a 24-hour live Discord channel. Mentors respond throughout your working hours, not just ours.
- Weekly 1:1 mentor calls — booked at a time that works for your timezone. Mentors are spread across multiple zones to make this possible.
- Async portfolio defence — Loom walkthroughs that mentors review on their schedule, with written + recorded feedback returned within 24 hours.
- Hack days & demo days — every 3–4 weeks. Live, recorded, with international showcase slots so cohort members in unfriendly time zones can still present.
The async backbone isn't a fallback — it's designed. The bet is that combining a live cohort heartbeat with an async-first review loop is the strongest format for international software training in 2026.
FAQ
Questions from international applicants.
Can I join Sigmaschool from outside Malaysia?
Yes. Sigmaschool's AI-Native Software Development Programme is delivered live online, so the only requirement is a stable internet connection and the ability to attend live sessions or watch replays. Students from Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, and across the Middle East have completed cohorts.
What timezone does Sigmaschool run on?
Live sessions run on Malaysia time (GMT+8), Monday to Friday. This is convenient for most of Asia, the Middle East, Australia, and Europe. For the Americas the live timing is unfriendly, but every session is recorded with full transcripts and mentor Q&A continues asynchronously over the next 48 hours — graduates in the US and Canada typically attend ~40% live and ~60% via recording without losing momentum.
Do I need to speak Malay or Mandarin?
No. The Programme is delivered entirely in English. Cohorts are international by design — most cohorts in 2026 have students from 4–8 different countries, and English is the working language for code review, missions, and mentor conversations.
How do I pay if I'm not in Malaysia?
International students can pay in USD or in their local currency via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). Bank transfer in USD/EUR/GBP is available for cohort fees. The 12-month interest-free instalment plan is Malaysia-only (it routes through local banks); international students choose between pay-in-full or a 3-instalment plan.
Will Sigmaschool help me find a remote job?
Yes. The career support track is designed for remote work from day one — portfolio for global hiring, English-language technical interview prep, async portfolio defence on Loom, and warm intros to remote-friendly employers in Sigmaschool's network. Many graduates from Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam now work remotely for Singapore, Australia, UK, and US companies through this pathway.
Is the certificate recognised internationally?
Sigmaschool issues a completion certificate at the end of the Programme. International hiring is much more portfolio-driven than credential-driven — what actually gets you hired is the deployed projects, the GitHub history, and the Loom defence videos you produce during the Programme. The certificate is a useful signal; the portfolio is the actual currency.
Do I need a visa to attend?
No visa needed. The Programme is fully online — you train from wherever you live. The Puchong Study Hub is available to Klang Valley students who happen to be in Malaysia, but no international student is required to physically come to Malaysia.
