Money-Back Guarantee · MBG

Get hired in tech, or 100% money back.

If you don't land a qualifying tech role within 365 days of graduating the Sigmaschool AI-Native Software Development Programme — and you've fully met the Career Commitment below — we refund your tuition. In full.

The 30-second version

  • You commit to the Career Commitment — 10 applications/week, 4 interviews/week available, 5 GitHub contributions/week, regular check-ins with our team.
  • We commit to your outcome — if no qualifying offer (RM 2,800+/month, any role type) materialises within 365 days, we refund 100% of your tuition.
  • Honest fine print — graduates almost always exceed this floor. The MBG is the safety net, not the expected outcome.
01

Eligibility

To qualify for the MBG, you must…

All 8 conditions below must be met. Missing any one disqualifies the refund.

  1. 1

You paid your Sigmaschool tuition upfront — lump sum or split into instalments. (Income Share Agreements, pay-later plans, grants, and financial-aid programmes are not eligible.)

  2. 2

You graduate from the Programme within a maximum of 18 months from your enrolment date and receive a certificate of completion.

  3. 3

You are legally authorised to work in the country where you want to seek employment.

  4. 4

You attend more than 95% of your cohort classes — unless there is a valid documented reason for absence (e.g. medical certificate).

  5. 5

You show reasonable effort to engage with the curriculum. Being in class but doing unrelated work counts as absence.

  6. 6

You fully satisfy the Career Commitment outlined below for the 365 days following graduation.

  7. 7

You do not receive an offer for or earn the Qualifying Amount during or after the Programme.

  8. 8

You apply for the MBG within 30 days of the Termination Date (365 days after graduation).

Important: Failure to satisfy any single eligibility requirement means you will not qualify for the MBG, and your tuition (or loan) will not be refunded.

02

Career Commitment

What we ask of you, every week.

For 365 days following graduation, the four weekly commitments below — and three ongoing obligations — keep you eligible. You may fall short on up to 6 weeks total.

Each week

01

Apply to 10 positions

Each week, submit applications to ten (10) positions related to your Sigmaschool education and conduct one (1) follow-up on each — via email, LinkedIn, message, or call.

02

Be available for 4 interviews

Make yourself available for up to four (4) interviews each week.

03

Ship 5 public GitHub contributions

Post at least five (5) GitHub contributions to your public profile each week — keep your portfolio active and visible to hiring managers.

04

Document your job-search activity

Provide documentary proof of your job-search activity via the job-application platform we provide, or as reasonably requested by Sigmaschool.

Ongoing

  • Report every job offer, interview, or position (salaried, hourly, contractor, anything) within three (3) business days — regardless of whether it relates to your Sigmaschool education or the amount.

  • Meet, as requested, with any Sigmaschool team member to discuss your job search. You may cancel up to two (2) meetings without arranging an alternative in writing.

  • Respond to all Sigmaschool team communications within three (3) business days, unless otherwise arranged in writing.

Grace weeks: You may fall short of the weekly commitments for up to six (6) weeks across the 365-day period. You must fully meet all weekly requirements for at least 46 of 52 weeks to remain eligible.

03

Qualifying Amount

What counts as 'getting hired'.

RM 2,800+ / month

Any combination of salaried, hourly, contract, or other work where the total gross amount offered or actually earned during or after your Programme reaches or exceeds this floor.

  • ·Non-contract offers are assumed indefinite. Contract positions are calculated by the stated term, including any renewals.
  • ·Counts both offered and actually earned income — so an offer alone can trigger the threshold, even if you don't accept it.
  • ·Counts work of any type, including roles unrelated to your Sigmaschool education (adjacent tech like QA automation, technical PM, developer advocacy, implementation engineering, internal tooling).
  • ·Total gross amount = all amounts you are offered, paid, or earn (salary, bonuses, tips, commissions, contractor fees) before tax or other withholdings. Income from spouse / children, inheritances, and Social Security do not count.
  • ·If you're earning someincome that's below the Qualifying Amount (e.g. RM 2,500/month), you must continue to follow the Career Commitment for the full 365 days to remain eligible.
04

How to apply

Submitting an MBG request.

  1. 01

Apply within 30 days of the Termination Date

The Termination Date is exactly 365 days after your graduation. You must submit your MBG application no later than 30 days after the Termination Date — i.e. within 395 days of graduating.

  2. 02

    Email finance@sigmaschool.co

Email us to begin the process. Include your name and a certificate-of-completion attachment to start.

  3. 03

    Provide documentary proof

You bear the burden of demonstrating you've met all eligibility requirements, including the full Career Commitment record. We may also request pay stubs from all positions held in the previous 18 months, and your most recent tax return.

  4. 04

Respond to follow-up requests within 5 business days

We reserve the right to request additional documentation to assess your eligibility. Provide any requested follow-ups within 5 business days or your MBG may be denied.

  5. 05

    Decision is final

Sigmaschool will consider all requests in good faith but is not required to provide reasoning. Any denial is final.

05

If the MBG is granted

What you get — and what you lose.

FAQ

Common questions.

  • What does the Money-Back Guarantee actually cover?

If you graduate the Sigmaschool AI-Native Software Development Programme and don't receive an offer for (or actually earn) the Qualifying Amount of RM 2,800+ per month within 365 days, and you've fully met the Career Commitment, Sigmaschool refunds 100% of your tuition.

  • What counts as the Qualifying Amount?

Any combination of salaried, hourly, contract, or other work where the total gross amount you're offered or actually earn is RM 2,800+ per month. This counts work of any type — including roles unrelated to your Sigmaschool education. If you receive a non-contract offer it's assumed to be indefinite. Contract roles are calculated based on the stated term including any renewals.

  • Why is the Qualifying Amount only RM 2,800/month?

RM 2,800 is set as a meaningful tech-floor — well below typical Sigmaschool graduate placements (which usually land RM 4,000–8,000+ as junior roles). The bar is intentionally low: if you can't even clear RM 2,800/month with us, the guarantee triggers. In practice the vast majority of graduates exceed this within weeks of completing the Programme.

  • Do I have to take the first job I'm offered?

If you receive an offer at or above the Qualifying Amount, the guarantee doesn't trigger — even if you decline the offer. The MBG protects you against not receiving any qualifying offers, not against you choosing not to accept them.

  • Does the role have to be a software-developer position?

No. The Qualifying Amount counts work of any type, including roles that aren't direct software-developer positions. Adjacent tech roles (QA automation, technical project management, developer advocacy, implementation engineering, internal tooling) all count.

  • Can I qualify if I missed some weekly Career Commitments?

You can still qualify if you fall short of the weekly requirements for up to six (6) weeks across the 365-day period. That means you must fully meet the Career Commitment for at least 46 of the 52 weeks. Failing any one weekly requirement counts as one missed week.

  • I paid via an instalment plan. Am I still eligible?

Yes — instalment plans qualify. What doesn't qualify: Income Share Agreements (ISAs), pay-later/BNPL plans, grants, and any financial aid from Sigmaschool or our funding partners. If you paid via a third-party loan we still refund the tuition portion, but you remain responsible for any interest or fees on that loan.

  • How do I apply for the MBG?

Submit your application within 30 days of the Termination Date (i.e. within 395 days of your graduation). The request must include your name, certificate of completion, and documentary proof that you've satisfied all eligibility requirements. You may also be asked for pay stubs and your most recent tax return. Email finance@sigmaschool.co to begin the process.

  • What happens if my MBG is granted?

Your tuition obligation to Sigmaschool is forgiven. Any cash you've paid is refunded without interest. In exchange, you lose access to Sigmaschool job-search services, tools, alumni databases, and future curriculum / learning kits.

  • How does Sigmaschool verify my application?

For two years after the Termination Date, Sigmaschool reserves the right to audit any records you provided. You should retain all documents related to your MBG for at least three (3) years after graduation. If we find any false information, the MBG grant can be revoked and you become responsible for your original tuition plus any accrued interest.

07

Legal terms

Full agreement & administrative terms.

Audit rights, dispute resolution, governing law, transfers, liability. The complete agreement as binding contract.

Audit right

For a period of two years following the Termination Date, Sigmaschool reserves the right to audit any records you have provided related to the MBG. You must retain all documents related to your MBG for three (3) years following your graduation. You must also provide any information requested by Sigmaschool to substantiate your eligibility — including tax returns — so that Sigmaschool can confirm you did not earn the Qualifying Amount. If Sigmaschool determines that you provided false information, the MBG grant may be revoked and you will be responsible for your original tuition plus any accrued interest.

Dispute resolution & arbitration

Adversarial proceedings to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement, your Sigmaschool tuition, or your payments to Sigmaschool (other than injunctive proceedings or small-claims actions) will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by The Malaysian Institute of Arbitration. Any such arbitration must be conducted by one arbitrator. If the claim is for RM 25,000 or less, you may choose to have the arbitration conducted (1) solely on the basis of documents submitted, or (2) through a non-personal-appearance telephone or virtual hearing.

No class action · jury trial waiver

You and Sigmaschool may bring claims against each other only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. Claims of two or more persons may not be joined or consolidated in the same arbitration unless they arise from the same transaction. You and Sigmaschool also waive your respective right to a trial by jury in any proceedings arising out of this agreement.

Notice & contact

For a notice under this agreement to be valid, it must be in writing and delivered by email to finance@sigmaschool.co (in the case of an email message from you to Sigmaschool), or to the most current email address on Sigmaschool's records (in the case of an email message from Sigmaschool to you). Notice is deemed received when sent, even if the sender receives a machine-generated delivery-failure message. You must notify Sigmaschool no later than 30 days after any change in your primary residence, phone number, email address, or other contact information.

Governing law

Malaysian law governs all adversarial proceedings arising out of this agreement and the MBG.

Transfers

You may not transfer (1) any discretion granted under this agreement, (2) any right to satisfy a condition under this agreement, (3) any remedy under this agreement, or (4) any obligation imposed under this agreement. Any purported transfer in violation of the previous sentence will be void. Sigmaschool may transfer all or part of its interest in this agreement with or without notice; your rights and obligations remain unchanged in the event of a transfer.

Limitation of liability

The liability of Sigmaschool under this agreement is limited to the aggregate of tuition paid or owed to Sigmaschool under your enrollment agreement. Only the limitations legally applicable to you will apply, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Entire agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sigmaschool regarding the MBG. Prior communications, verbal or written, are superseded.
