Beginner Study Group
Approachable lessons plus hands-on practice, in a supportive, beginner-friendly group. Learn and grow alongside other people at the same stage.
Led by Sigmaschool alumni and engineers, the Beginner Study Group blends approachable, bite-sized lessons with hands-on practice. Whether you’re brand new to coding or reinforcing the basics, it’s a supportive, collaborative space to learn and grow with others.
Each session we tackle core topics together - things like string manipulation, functions, callbacks, and execution context - then put them straight into practice. It’s a fun, engaging, and inclusive way to level up your coding, with real people to learn beside instead of going it alone. Hope to see you there!
What you’ll get
- Approachable, beginner-friendly lessons on one core concept each session
- Hands-on practice with real exercises, not just watching
- Coverage of fundamentals: strings, functions, callbacks, execution context
- Live help and Q&A in a supportive, collaborative group
Who it’s for
- Total beginners who’ve never written a line of code
- Self-learners reinforcing the fundamentals
- Career-switchers exploring whether coding is for them
Open to all experience levels - no prior experience required. New to coding? Warm up with 6 Projects in 6 Days, our free crash course, to set yourself up for success. Either way, this session is designed to meet you where you are.
